Technical Specifications

Ceramic Ware

  • A closed coupled toilet requires the installation of an external cistern on top of the toilet bowl. Usually the toilet, the cistern and the seat are sold separately which means you should order all of the items together to obtain the complete functional toilet.

  • All Sanindusa kitchen sinks are produced in fine fire clay which is a mixture of 100% raw natural materials with antibacterial properties. They are coated with a 2mm glaze and are subjected to high temperatures in a 1220°C oven which gives them a high degree of resistance to scratches and wear ensuring a long-lasting useful life even in situations of intensive use.

    The shiny glaze makes them extremely easy to use clean requiring a wet cloth to look spotless.

    Their waterproof surface prevents dirt from penetrating the material and absorbing smells or tastes, making them the ideal solution for food preparation.

    Highly resistant to heat and cold they comply with the strictest international standards (resistance to thermal shock, hot surfaces, impact, scratches, detergents, cleaning products and other household chemicals) combining aesthetics, quality, durability and hygiene.

  • Only the Marina, Marina Plus and Marina Star collections of stonit shower trays can be cut to size in the factory or on site. On site, an angle grinder with a 230 diameter diamond blade is required.

  • Yes, it is possible with a tap hole stopper (code 4722100).

  • The measurement is always 1/2” regardless of being a bottom inlet or side water inlet cistern?

  • This specific urinal works without flushing water which enables significant savings in its consumption since it is only used occasionally in the cleaning process. For this purpose, the outlet trap is composed of a sealing membrane that prevents odours from escaping and a deodorising ring that guarantees a pleasant aroma. The system is functional, simple and practical. The membrane only allows liquids to enter the drainage system without backflow. When passing through the outlet trap the liquid causes the membrane to open and cloasing immediately afterwards which also prevents the emission of odours from the sewer.

  • It always depends on the water pressure, but to make sure it doesn't splash just install a tap with an emulsifying aerator.

  • No, it is not possible to change the side of the towel rail on these basins.

  • No, it is not possible to close the waste because these basins don’t have an overflow.

  • Yes, Clean washbasins are wall-mounted and can be installed with or without furniture.

  • Yes, Vista basins are wall-mounted and can be installed with or without furniture, except codes 109450 and 109460 which are vessel basins.

  • Yes, Flow basins are wall-mounted and can be installed with or without furniture.

  • No, Área and Área Plus are inset basins and for that reason must be installed with furniture.

  • No, this model has no panels and can only be recessed.

  • The Rimflush flushing system ensures perfect water distribution which through its power carries out a perfect sanitization of the toilet bowl without splashing. The absence of the conventional closed rim allows easy access to the so-called hard to reach areas of the toilet bowl ensuring a significant improvement in hygiene and greater flushing efficiency.

  • Toilet seats and bidet covers with the Easyclip system can be placed and removed instantly without needing extra tools. With a simple vertical movement they’re quickly released which makes cleaning tasks really easy.

  • The Clipoff system makes it possible to remove and place the seat or cover quickly from the ceramic. It comes equipped with two side buttons that allow its removal without loosening any hinges. This makes the cleaning process easy and effortless.

  • Wall hung toilets are fixed to very resistant and sturdy structures, either recessed into the wall or external, and these can withstand around 400 kilos of static weight.

  • Wall-hung bidets are fixed to very resistant and sturdy recessed structures and these can withstand around 400 kilos of static weight.

  • New WcCare shower seats (codes 42946 and 42948) can withstand around 120 kilos of static weight.

Installation and Flush Systems

  • Water leaks can usually have 2 different causes:

    1. 1st – Inlet valve problems
      The accumulation of dirt on the membrane of the water inlet valve prevents it from working properly. This is due to the impurities carried along by the water and the lack of filters in the network. This dusts and debris lodge in the membrane prevents the valve from closing completely, which means that the water continues to flow into the cistern. To prevent the cistern from overflowing the mechanism releases the excess water into the toilet. If the problem is in fact in the inlet valve you should dismantle it following the instructions and clean the membrane under running water. If cleaning doesn’t work you’ll need to replace the membrane (float kit) with a new one.
    2. 2nd – Seal problems
      There may be water leaking from the cistern into the toilet bowl from the wear and tear of the seal which is located at the bottom of the outlet valve. This is probably because the seal is either very dirty or hardened due to limescale build-up. If the problem is in the seal you should dismantle the flush mechanism and clean the seal and the part of the cistern where it sits. If cleaning doesn’t work, you’ll have to replace the seal with a new one.
  • If water is leaking from the cistern after flushing you should replace the black rubber seal (code 304013) located between the cistern and the toilet because it has possibly degraded. If on the other hand the water is leaking constantly it may indicate a crack in the ceramic cistern which we advise you to replace as soon as possible.

  • Usually the full flush releases 6 litres of water while the half flush releases only 3 litres. Sanindusa currently produces some models equipped with lower a flush volume of 3/4.5Lpf.

  • Yes, it is possible. Our flush mechanisms allow the regulation of the water level in the cistern. This regulation is made on a specific piece of the inlet valve. You can check out this process in the assembly instructions of each mechanism.

  • No, it is not possible.

  • Yes, it is possible to adjust the flush time and action ray with a remote control that is sold separately (code 5A12078213). Please check the instructions on the electronic flush plate’s manual.

  • There are two types of mechanisms, some are dual flush and give you the option of choosing between a full or half flush accordingly to your needs, while others are single flush which means once they’re activated they can be interrupted by pressing the flush button again.

    Whenever possible choose a dual flush mechanism to save water.

    When we press the flush button the outlet valve opens and causes the water to flow out of the cistern down to the toilet. The float in the inlet valve goes down as the water comes out of the cistern and, as it goes down, it opens the inlet valve and the cistern begins to fill. The float follows the rise of the water and when the cistern is full the inlet valve closes.

    1. Check the water connection of the angle valve.
    2. Check if the float of the inlet valve is stuck to the cistern walls.
    3. Check the filter/mesh of the inlet valve. This filter may have been damaged when tightening the hose.

Taps and Mixers

  • Freeflow wastes are impossible to close due to safety reasons since its application is recommended for basins without overflow. Tic-tac wastes should be installed in basins with overflow because they can be opened and closed with a simple click.

  • Two ways are always reserved for the hot and cold water inlets while the others are for the water outlet(s). Therefore:

    • A 3-way mixer allows 2 water inlets and 1 outlet (e.g. for a shower head);
    • A 4-way mixer allows 2 water inlets and 2 outlets (e.g. for a shower head and a hand shower);
    • A 5-way mixer allows 2 water inlets and 3 outlets (e.g. for a shower head, a hand shower and a spout);
  • Ecospot mixers are equipped with a cartridge that regulates the flow rate through a phased opening of the knob. This technology allows a two-position opening: half opening and full opening which ensures a significant reduction in water and energy consumption.

  • The Coldopen system is a device that allows water and energy savings. The opening of the knob to the right (New Ícone, Advance, Torus) or to the left (XS) is blocked so that when the mixer is opened aligned at the spout cold water will come out without activating the water heating system. When rotating the knob to the left (New Ícone, Advance, Torus) or to the right (XS) hot water will be gradually obtained.
